I've installed a few of these in sound systems and portable recording systems that need to be run by inexperienced volunteers. The presets help avoid sonic disasters and the metering is helpful. Sound quality is pretty good, there's a little background noise but it's quite reasonable for the price. Compresses well, at least for spoken word uses. Balanced I/O is really nice to have at this price range, and is one reason I use them instead of an FMR RNC. I've rackmounted pairs of them on 1U rack shelves using the bottom center screw, although when mounted that way they're a little over 1U tall so I had to leave a blank rack space above them.
