The Freddie King Collection (Guitar Recorded Version) [Paperback] Review

The Freddie King Collection [Paperback]Freddie King was a blues master with both the guitar and voice. And this folio is nice because it combines both vocal and instrumental pieces. Freddie played with fingerpicks, which yielded his bright articulate tone. So you'll want to consider that if you want the same effect; though not me, I can't hack those things. The tab is well done and like all Hal Leonard folios, is expertly engraved and edited. The only tune really missing here is 'Going Down', however, many other classic cuts are included.

The 15 songs are:

* I'm Tore Down
* The Stumble
* Wash Out
* Hideaway
* Side Tracked
* See See Baby
* Heads Up
* You've Got To Love Her With A Feeling
* Full Time Love
* The Sad Nite Owl
* If You Believe (In What You Do)
* Lonesome Whistle Blues
* Have You Ever Love A Woman
* In The Open
* San Ho Zay

To acquire source recording, there are a great many Freddie King collections out there to consider. You might look into the recent releases by Collectables in three volumes. And Amazon seems to have the best prices by far on Hal Leonard books.
