THE BEST OF OPETH (GUITAR RECORDED VERSIONS) [Paperback] Review

I'm not really sure what to think of this tab book yet. Overall its decent but I have found a mistake already. It seems that they have messed up on the tunings on a few songs. Most of the Ghost Reveries album is in a D minor tuning which isn't the case for some of the songs in this book.

In the song Ghost of Perdition they have the main guitars being in two different tunings. Which would be fine if Opeth never played this song live but...they do. When the clean section of the song kicks in the guitars are in a different tuning than they were a second ago, if the members could freeze time and change guitars or tune it would be ok otherwise they messed up here. This has sort of damaged the credibility for me so do not believe that these songs are 100 %.

After watching an interview with Mikael during his Guitarworld session he even says that they tuned in that (DADFAE) tuning. I thought people producing and tabing out the songs had to contact the musicians to make sure they were correct? Oh well this is what it is.
